Our Story
IFGREEN’s research shows that there is a huge demand-supply gap for cassava derivatives whether it’s for use as food or as raw material input for the players in the beverages, bakery, breweries, pharmaceutical, packaging sectors amongst other sectors of Nigeria’s economy. Domestic manufacturers are willing to replace the imported substitutes with locally sourced derivatives as this presents significant huge savings opportunities and fewer foreign exchange bottlenecks.
Cassava having been promoted as an industrial crop will meet some of these demands and also through inclusive production and processing will improve greatly the economic wellbeing of a smallholder farmer, create huge employment, and save scare foreign exchange.
Also, sourcing raw material inputs locally has a tremendous potential to bolster the local economy, empower local farmers, create employment and develop the entire cassava value chain.
Since its inception in March 2016, IFGREEN has consistently grown with multiple investments in the development of owned and out-grown cassava farms as well as installation of best-in-class processing capacities in other to consistently meet its raw material supply requirements for its factory.
Investment Overview
Our investment model features three key operations:
- company-owned cassava farm (IFGREEN Farms)
- smallholder sourcing/Outgrower scheme and
- Company-owned cassava processing plant (IFGREEN Factory).
We have invested in this project tangible and non-tangible assets whose value is overUSD 2.1 Million, we have employed over 60 staff, and have a combined cassava processing facility with a capacity of 15tons/day that churns out staple food products (FMCG) and Industrial products (HQCF).
IFGREEN Farms cultivates its cassava on a farm that spans over 200 Hectares and has an off-taker arrangement with scores of local farmers under its off-taker system/cooperative and over 100farmers in her Out-growers scheme. She has the support of several bodies which include but are not limited to:
- Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi (FIIRO)
- International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA)
- Industrial Cassava Stakeholders Association of Nigeria (ICSAN)
Factory Current Production
IFGREEN Industries and Investment Ltd having implemented efficient Food Safety Management System (FSMS) based on ISO 2000 and HACCP have the following current installed capacities:
- 3 Tons /Day Cassava to Garri Processing Line
- 6 Tons / Day Cassava to Fufu Flour Processing Line
- 3 Tons /Day Cassava to IfgreenVita Processing Line
- 15tons/Day Cassava to HQCF(High-Quality Cassava Flour)
- 2 Tons/Day Cassava to HQCP(High-Quality Cassava Peel Mash) Processing Line.

Food Safety Policy
At IFGREEN, we take food safety very serious.
We screen every detail of our processes just to ensure that every pack of food that leaves our factory is safe and healthy for consumption. To ensure this, we:
- Maintain an effective and efficient Food Safety Management System (FSMS) based on ISO 2000 and HACCP.
- Ensure that processing/production areas are maintained to a clean and hygienic standard.
- Provide all employees with information, training, and tools necessary to do their job in a hygienic and compliant manner.
- Ensure that adequate resources are always available to achieve and maintain consistent compliance with the requirement of HACCP, FSMS, and our customers, as well as applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
Compliance against current HACCP, FSMS standards, and implemented performance objectives will be monitored and measured regularly to assure our customers that we are providing safe products.
We review this policy periodically to ensure it continues to reflect our commitment to providing safe and quality products.

The proprietors possess a strong business and leadership record across the board. They are dynamic entrepreneurs with deep sector expertise and a passion for the Agribusiness spaceas well asthe empowerment of women and youths.
They have been successful in utilizing the triple-bottom-line business performance criteria (of People, Profit, and Planet) in the development and growth of IFGREEN Industries and Investment Ltd.
Our team is made up of experienced Heads of Departments.We also enjoythe support of highly efficient consultants who assist in our operations.
IITA supervision is a major boost to our Agric. team’s efficiency. Working with IDH has helped sharpen the investment strategies of the entire project.
